Windowseat Bookshop is Nanaimo BC is hosting Marion McKinnon Crook, author of Always Pack a Candle and Always on Call, for an author signing on June 12th, 2025 from 6-8:30PM.
A retired a nurse, educator, and the author of more than twenty-five books, Marion pens a fascinating portrait of the hectic life of a rural nurse and highlights the importance of the helping professions. Always Pack a Candle won the BC Historical Federation's Community History Book Award in 2021, and Always on Call is a finalist in the 2025 BC & Yukon Book Awards.
