Join Gloria Snively and the Sooke Literacy Project for a special event celebrating family literacy.

Sooke Literacy Project is welcoming Gloria Snively on January 23, 2022, with a special online event as part of Family Literacy Week. They have created a free, online event for children to enjoy with their caregivers. This fun event will connect with our coastal environment as you develop literacy skills together in your family.

Gloria will read from her children's books where you'll meet Sam and Crystal, the main characters of three stories: Explore the Eelgrass Meadow, Explore the Rocky Shore, and Explore the Wild Coast.

TO ATTEND: Register with Sooke Literacy Project

Gloria Snively is a professor emeritus of science, environmental, and marine education in the Faculty of Education, University of Victoria; a former classroom teacher of primary and junior secondary grades; and a founding member of the Northwest Association of Marine Educators.
