Journal of a Travelling Girl — Two Book Celebrations

In October 2020, Heritage House published Journal of a Travelling Girl by Nadine Neema. Although it has seen great success, due to pandemic restrictions at the time, Nadine was unable to celebrate the release with friends and the Tłı̨chǫ community. Now, she will be holding two in-person events for the print book, the audiobook, and a new short film.
Nadine Neema has just completed a short film called Wekweètì and Ekwǫ̀ (Wekweètì and Caribou). She took the footage between 2000 and 2002 when she was living in Wekweètì. The film features the late Elders Alexis Arrowmaker and Mary Adele Eyakfwo telling old-time stories of how they grew up on the land and why they settled in Wekweètì. It will be premiered at these two events.
