<b>Erica H. Isomura</b> is an artist whose work is shaped by community knowledge and family histories. Erica was raised by a Chinese-Canadian mom and a Japanese-Canadian dad in New Westminster, British Columbia, beside the Stó꞉lo. Her art combines text, drawing, paper and book arts, printmaking, collage, and other mixed media. In 2023, Erica was artist-in-residence at The Blue Cabin Floating Artist Residency in Steveston Village, where she researched Japanese fishermen’s history on the west coast. Erica lives in Toronto, Ontario, where she plays softball with the Field of Dreamers at Trinty Bellwoods Park.
