<b>Kelsey Lonie</b> was raised on a cattle ranch in Southern Saskatchewan, a setting that shaped her passion for both history and animals. She grew cherishing her grandparents’ stories about life and resiliency during the Second World War and has dedicated her career to making this story accessible, engaging, and relevant. Kelsey holds a BEd and an MA in History from the University of Regina and specializes in the contributions of western Canadians at home and overseas during the Second World War. She is an educator, speaker, writer, consultant, the collections manager at a military museum in Regina, and the recipient of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal in recognition of her work with the Royal Regina Rifles in placing a statue in Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day. She lives in Regina with her husband and their dog and cat.
