The Writers’ Guild of Alberta (WGA) announced the finalists for the 2024 Alberta Literary Awards on April 2, 2024. WGA reported that jurors deliberated on an overwhelming number of submissions to select the following 31 finalists in ten categories. Finalists represent excellence in literary work written by Alberta authors and published or created in 2022–23.
The Alberta Literary Awards Gala, where winners will be announced, will take place in Edmonton on Saturday, June 8, the same weekend as the WGA Conference. There will also be readings with the finalists in Calgary and Edmonton on May 3 and May 5 respectively.
