The Prince George Public Library Board has announced the nominees for the 37th annual Jeanne Clarke Awards. The Jeanne Clarke Local History Award was established by the Library Board in 1985, in memory of former library board chair Jeanne Clarke.
We are delighted to share that two Heritage House books are nominated for the 2022 Jeanne Clarke Local History Publication Award:
- Wagon Road North: The Saga of the Cariboo Gold Rush, Revised and Expanded Edition, by Art Downs, edited by Ken Mather
- Aggie and Mudgy: The Journey of Two Kaska Dena Children by Wendy Proverbs
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Prince George Public Library is again partnering with CKPG to share this celebration of local history with a broadcasted awards show. The Jeanne Clarke Awards will air on CKPG TV on March 13th at 6:00 pm, March 14th at 7:00 pm, and can be streamed on the CKPG website.
