Bloomsbury and Hidden Flowers are SCWES Award winners!
Congratulations to Marion McKinnon Crook and Keiko Honda for winning at the Sunshine Coast Writers and Editors Society 4th Annual Book Awards for BC Authors contest!
The SCWES awards were announced at the Society’s Art & Words Festival at the Gibsons Heritage Playhouse this past Saturday, and we are thrilled to say that Bloomsbury to Barkerville won the Creative Nonfiction category and Hidden Flowers took home the Diverse Voices award.
Bloomsbury to Barkerville by Marion McKinnon Crook: From the literary circles of Charles Dickens to gold-rush saloons in the Cariboo, this remarkable true story chronicles the fascinating life and intrepid spirit of Florence Wilson (1823–1902).
